Chief Executive Officer
John Hoffman serves as Chief Executive Officer of P3 Petroleum. Mr. Hoffman is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 35 of Industry experience. Internationally, he is a well-traveled, seasoned veteran, with a wide network. Mr. Hoffman has extensive experience in field development and operations, onshore and offshore. Prior to launching P3 Petroleum, Mr. Hoffman started and built Black Elk Energy, an independent oil and gas company headquartered in Houston with operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Hoffman held various leadership positions throughout his career at Amoco, Gulf of Suez Petroleum, BP Americas and Stone Energy. His new field development experience spans internationally in the Egyptian Western Desert and Gulf of Suez. In the United States, his developments include major projects in deepwater Gulf of Mexico as well as on the Shelf margins. Mr. Hoffman has extensive exploitation experience and knowledge with a unique demonstrated track record of increasing reserves and production while lowering costs. Mr. Hoffman has numerous publications in journals for his work on sand control, subsea wells and innovative coiled tubing pipelines. Mr. Hoffman's superior abilities have been recognized by his peers several times throughout the years of his dedication to the industry. During his time with Gulf Suez Petroleum, Mr. Hoffman was awarded the Chairman's Award for Operational Excellence. Mr. Hoffman received this prestigious Chairman's Award once more during his tenure with Amoco while working the Amoco Deepwater Strategy. In 2012, Mr. Hoffman was awarded the Charles E. Braithwait Leadership Award for excellence in community action and humanitarianism. Further distinguishing his superior business skills, Mr. Hoffman was honored as a winner of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Gulf Coast Area Award, Who's Who in Energy and the TX Top Producers CEO category. Mr. Hoffman also received his certification as a Dive Master and is an avid diver and marine enthusiast.
Chief Financial Officer
Lisa Bromiley serves as the Chief Financial Officer of P3 Petroleum with 20 years of finance, public accounting, M&A, tax and capital markets experience within the energy industry. From 2010 to the present, Ms. Bromiley has provided executive financial and accounting consulting services for IPO's, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcy reorganizations and raising capital with Solomon Edwards Group, LLC, a national CFO services firm, except from April 2012 to September 2013, when she served as Vice President of Business Development and led the corporate sale process of Epsilon Energy Ltd. (TSX: EPS). Ms. Bromiley has served as a director and chairman of the audit committee of Northern Oil and Gas (NYSE: NOG), which holds an acreage footprint of approximately 169,000 net mineral acres in the heart of the Bakken and Three Forks oil plays, since 2007 and was appointed lead independent director in November 2010. Ms. Bromiley served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Platinum Energy Resources, Inc. in 2008 and 2009. She served as Chief Financial Officer of Flotek Industries, Inc. (NYSE: FTK), a public oilfield service company for four years and was awarded Houston Business Journal CFO of the Year for her accomplishments at Flotek. Prior to joining Flotek, Ms. Bromiley worked in the energy audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and worked for three Fortune 500 companies in various public accounting, finance, SEC reporting and risk management positions. Ms. Bromiley is a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Bromiley holds B.B.A. and Masters of Accountancy degrees from the University of Texas.
Chief of Staff & Administration
Mary Patterson is Chief of Staff & Administration for P3 Petroleum and brings over 15 years of experience, working in both the public and private sector in multiple industries. Prior to joining P3 Petroleum, Mrs. Patterson was Chief of Staff & Administration for Black Elk Energy and Vice President of Human Resources for Silver Eagle Distributors where she set strategic direction, aligning human resources with company goals to acheive company-wide objectives. She is an accomplished business leader with demonstrated skills in re-engineering business processes to improve operations and enhance communications and compliance across the company. Prior to Silver Eagle Distributors, Mrs. Patterson held leadership positions at Aegis Mortgage Corporation and ConAgra Foods where she years partnered with senior management on mergers and acquisitons, staffing strategies, employee development, compliance and compensation strategies. Mrs. Patterson has both the SHRM-CP and PHR certification and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, HR Houston, American Payroll Association and World at Work. She has Bachelors in Business Communications from the University of Houston.
Senior VP of Engineering & Operations
Keith Hubbard serves as Senior VP of Engineering & Operations for P3 Petroleum. Mr. Hubbard has over 35 years of oilfield experience in the US and Internationally in South America and Africa. He gained most of his experience with Halliburton where he served in various roles including; Logging Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Supervisor, Integrated Solutions Service Coordinator and Gulf of Mexico Operations Manager for Logging and Perforating Product Service line. From 2003-2007, Mr. Hubbard served as Halliburton's Gulf of Mexico Business Development Manager where he was responsible for business sales strategy, financial planning and personnel development in Houston, Lafayette and New Orleans. After retiring from Halliburton after 27 years, Mr. Hubbard joined West Star Operating Company as Operations Manager and later in 2009 joined Black Elk Energy as Chief Well Officer. Mr. Hubbard holds an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Devry Institute of Technology. He and his wife of 32 years, Terri, have 2 daughters.
Joey Mustacchia is Geosciences Manager at P3 Petroleum. Mr. Mustacchia joins P3 Petroleum with over 30 years of industry experience as a value builder through integrated field studies, prospect generation and evaluation as well as acquisitions and divestments. Mr. Mustacchia is proficient at quickly assessing value and identifying low risk prospects with the ability to mature through the drilling and completion process. He has analyzed countless acquisitions and has been heavily involved in over 10 successful acquisitions & divestitures (A & D) transactions valued at over $1B throughout his career. Mr. Mustacchia received his BS in Geology from the University of Houston.
Malcolm Hollingsworth serves as Petrophysicist for P3 Petroleum. He brings over 30 years of professional experience as an innovative operations leader and formation evaluation specialist improving operational execution & delivery. Mr. Hollingsworth began his career at Halliburton and over the last 3 decades, he held various Operations’ leadership positions in the US and overseas focusing on reservoir potential, formation evaluation, profit & cost management and cross functional collaboration. In his most recent role as Region Manager -Reservoir Evaluation, Mr. Hollingsworth led multi-disciplined Geoscience teams with primary focus on hydrocarbon exploration, development & production projects in North America and supported multiple projects and business units globally. Mr. Hollingsworth received his BS in Electronic Engineering & Technology from Northwestern State University.
Mr. Hollingsworth is available on a contract basis but can become a full time employee as needed.
Consulting Geological Advisor
Tom Belis joins P3 Petroleum as Consulting Geological Advisor with over 38 years of industry experience, holding senior level positions in both Land and Geology. Mr. Belis began his career as Chief Landman where he was responsible for Oil & Gas Leasing, R/W and Damage Negotiations in PA, NY, OH and WV. He later advanced into an Operations Geologist position where he provided geological support for drilling in PA, NY, OH and WV and supervised drilling, cementing and completion operations. Mr. Belis furthered his career as Geologist/Supervisor of Leasing and Field Operations, Special Projects Engineer, Geologist III & IV, V and Mid Continent Team Lead where he provided support for drilling programs in OK, KS, TX Panhandle and SE CO. To date, Mr. Belis is responsible for the drilling recommendation, supervision and evaluation of over 1,300 vertical wells to multiple reservoirs in multiple US Basins (as per the above) and ~50 horizontal wells to multiple reservoirs in Western Oklahoma and the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. Mr Belis graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Natural Science and a concentration in Geologic and Planetary science.
Mr. Belis is available on a contract basis but can become a full time employee as needed.
Vice President of Operations
Troy Mouret is the Vice President of Operations at P3 Petroleum where he is responsible for managing all aspects of field operations including cultivating a culture of safety, effectively managing and reducing Lease Operating Expenses, being ecologically and environmentally responsible and compliant. Mr. Mouret brings over 36 years of experience in both domestic and international operations. He began his career with Amoco Production Company in 1980 and progressed to Operations Team Lead and Operations Readiness Supervisor for many different projects. Prior to joining P3 Petroleum, Mr. Mouret was Operations Advisor at Star Engineering where he managed procedures, project management, cost management, operational readiness and supporting the needs of project execution on a GOM Deepwater well/facility.
Information Technology Manager
Frank Bair is the Information Technology Manager for P3 Petroleum. Formerly with Black Elk Energy, Mr. Bair is a technology industry expert with over 15 years' experience in the IT field. He joined Black Elk Energy in 2011 as an Offshore IT Engineer over seeing platform communications upgrades and installs. Mr. Bair was promoted to Senior Systems Engineer in 2012 where he took care of all systems at the corporate office. In late 2013 he was promoted to IT Process & Controls Manager which he is now responsible for all aspects of oil and gas information technology at the foundation. Mr. Bair has been working full time in the IT and AV Field since 2001. He brings a wide variety of skills to bear on challenges in the oil and gas industry from automation aspects to communication expertise. Mr. Bair spent most of his IT career learning Cisco and Microsoft Systems providing IT consulting and education to countless small businesses.
Senior Drilling Engineer
Doug Hoffman serves as the Senior Drilling Engineer for P3 Petroleum and brings over 10 years of petroleum engineering experience. Prior to joining P3, Mr. Hoffman served as the Senior Drilling Engineer for BHP/Petrohawk where he planned and executed the development of 130 wells in South Texas (primarily in the Eagleford Shale and Olmos formations). Mr. Hoffman also served as a Rig Engineer for Swift Energy where he developed and helped implement operational and cost-efficient horizontal drilling practices. He was responsible for the successful execution of 30 wells throughout South Texas and was actively involved with the planning and execution team that oversaw the drilling of four high pressure wells in Lake Washington. Mr. Hoffman graduated from Louisiana State University with a BS in Petroleum Engineering.
Marketing Communications Manager
Leslie Hoffman serves as Marketing Communications Manager at P3 Petroleum where she is responsible for website management and all internal/external communications. Prior to joining P3 Petroleum, Ms. Hoffman served as Public Relations Specialist at Black Elk Energy and Advertas. With over 8 years of experience, Ms. Hoffman brings expertise in building brand awareness, charity/corporate event planning and communication efforts to both stakeholders and the media. Ms. Hoffman received a certification for Effective Crisis Communication Strategy & Media Management for the Energy Sector and graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Communications.
Office & Administrative Manager
Carrie Cole is the Office & Administrative Manager for P3 Petroleum where she manages all the day-to-day operations of the office, organizing and maintaining files and records, and planning and scheduling meetings and appointments. Mrs. Cole brings over 15 years of experience providing thorough and skillful administrative support to senior executives. Mrs. Cole served as Executive Assistant at Black Elk Energy since 2009 and is highly organized and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet concurrent deadlines.
Claude H. Joseph
Claude H. Joseph is currently the Investment Consultant at P3 Petroleum working on the financial and technical diligence of oil and gas acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to this he helped initiate Commonwealth Bank of Australia's reserve-based lending team in Houston, as well as originating deals and providing technical due diligence with Societe Generale and Union Bank. At these three institutions Mr. Joseph was responsible for more than 55 clients in the United States and Canada, representing nearly $2.5 billion in funding, as well as the evaluation of more than 100 prospective clients. Mr. Joseph’s industry background includes Unocal, Berry and Venoco. He was the reservoir engineer responsible for Berry’s Piceance Basin assets, which included 118 producing gas wells and a 1,000 well PUD program. With Venoco, Mr. Joseph was the sole engineer for the Sacramento Basin, which included 300+ gas wells, and within two years he helped increase production five-fold. Mr. Joseph was appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Venoco. Claude has a Master's degree in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
